What should I bring to my appointment or upload in advance?

  • Any prior medical records
  • Current medications
  • A secure carrier for cats and leash for dogs
What forms of payment are accepted?

  • For spay and neuter services a $65 deposit is due for cats; $160 for dogs. For Dental procedures a $250 deposit is due when scheduling. The remaining payment is due at the time of service. Accepted payment types are all major credit cards, Zelle and cash.
  • Do you work with rescue organizations?
  • Yes. Please contact us directly to discuss rescue partnerships.
Do I need to bring my cat in a carrier?

Yes. It is more comfortable for them in a new environment to have scents from home.

Will you call me when it is time to pick up my pet?
  • No.  We schedule a pick up time which we will tell you at time of drop off.
What time will do I drop off my pet in the morning?
  • Dogs we have dropped off between 8:00-8:30AM.
  • Cats we have dropped off between 8:30-9:00AM
  • Rabbits we have dropped off between 8:45-9:15AM
Will my pet stay with you for the day?
  • Yes. We will keep you pet for the day to do surgery and monitor after surgery is completed.
Will my pet go home with any medication or an e-collar?
  • For spay and neuters:  All dogs will be sent home with medication.  All dogs will go home with an e collar.  Cats will not be sent home with medication.  Most cats do not need an e collar, but we are happy to send one home if you want.
  • For dentals: Dogs and cats will be sent home with medication.
Are you able to do vaccines while my pet is under anesthesia?
  • Yes. We are able to give rabies, FVRCP (cats), DHPP (dogs), Bordetella (dogs), HW test (dogs), felv/fiv test (cats)
Will you trim my pets nails?
  • Yes.  We will trim your pets nails after surgery before they go home.
Will my pet interact with the other animals?
  • Each pet is housed separately and does not interact with other animals however they will see and be next to others.  Dogs and cats are always housed separately.
Should my pet be fasted before surgery?
  • All dogs and cats should have food removed midnight the night before surgery, but water is okay.  Puppies/kittens under 4 months small amount of food before 6AM.
  • *Rabbits SHOULD NOT be fasted and should have access to food and hay in their carriers when they are brought in.*  Call in for rabbit surgeries.
After surgery can we use CorePet as our regular vet?
  • No. For annual exams and all vaccines, Petwell Clinic in Manchester or Somersworth is a very convenient and low cost option.
Do you offer emergency services?

CorePet does not provide emergency care. In an emergency, please contact a local emergency veterinary hospital.
